courtney_lance_chicago_bioI am a Chicagoan, and currently reside on the south side. I have lived in other places, but I call Chicago home. Creating this website has been a dream for a long time. I have  had  it for a bit of that long time overwhelmed at the possibilities and paralyzed how to bring it to life.   I feel like I have a lot to share, and quite frankly my brain will blow up if I don’t get some of this stuff out.  I’m hopeful that this platform does the trick. So my dream is to share what I know, and hope that there is some worth in it for you all my readers and followers.  I also hope to sell things, but that’s a little ways away.  Though, I do have granola… but I’m getting ahead of myself.  Stay Tuned

Its vitally important for me to take advantage of everything this life has to offer and appreciate it as a way to gather pieces for my  personal complex and curious puzzle. I’m hopeful in sharing  my goings-on and shenanigans that you’ll be inspired to walk your path with curiosity and wonder, do things that you thought you couldn’t do, go to places that you’ve dreamt of going but haven’t yet  purchased that ticket; talk to folks that you don’t know, change your hair or buy a wig, make a souffle, or go fishing.  I dunno…just change it up a bit and do something daring – and not by anyone else’s standards but your own.  Isn’t that really why we’re here to take advantage of what’s available to us?  Step out on Chicago’s Lake Michigan coast for instance from South end to the North and find so many things to do and for no money.

I do a lot of things and feel so very blessed to be able to experience life and have it bring me joy.  It’s expansion for me. I don’t want to be static and stuck. I like to keep moving and keeping my mind fluid by engaging in different kinds of stuff. My friend David calls me the Project Queen. I hate admitting it, but he’s right. I’ve always got a project or five brewing. Let me be clear though, I’m not the skydiver type nor have the need to repel down the side of a skyscraper. That is adventurous, sure, but not my kind of adventure.  It’s just not me.  I like building things, my brain for certain, and then other tangible things, like loaves of bread or Lego Architectural projects – not always very challenging  but lots of fun – well the bread making can be quite challenging. But  as it is good fun.

I suppose I have been well fed in every sense. I find joy in and derive satisfaction from music, from books, from people, in healing, from natural living, from traveling and of course from food – eating, preparing, baking. I sing, I write, I read, I counsel, I massage, I advise, and I cook, I travel. This is my fuel.  I am nourished by the exploration I don’t want any moss growing under this stone.

Come along with me.  We’ll have loads of fun.
